9 Photos of LGBT Elders Being Fierce and Fashionable
Who says only young people have fun? These LGBT elders prove that age is no obstacle to beauty. The fashion site You Do You, which strives to make the industry more inclusive, collaborated with Opening Ceremony to celebrate these elders in a recent photo shoot at a Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE) center in Manhattan.
There, the You Do You contributors met with a host of extraordinary people like Pearl, a 66-year-old transgender survivor of the AIDS crisis in New York as well as the Vietnam War. They also met with Guy, a makeup artist and painter whose works recently showed at the Museum of Modern Art.
Explore the fashionable portraits in this slideshow, then check out You Do You and its Instagram for more content that embraces its mission “to show the world that fashion fits on every body.”
