Where was Donald Trump's stylist?
Trump is guilty of a fashion faux pas.
For his White House meeting with South Carolina Senator Tim Scott on Wednesday, the president wore a navy jacket with black slacks.
“At least the tan suit was all one fucking color”— Chase Mitchell (@Chase Mitchell) 1505341381
The mismatch was particularly conspicuous next to his far more fashionable guest.
“🔥NEW!!! During a meeting with Tim Scott, Trump wore a blue suit jacket with black suit pants, completely unaware of the error he made.”— Christopher Bouzy (@Christopher Bouzy) 1505342112
Though suits are traditionally worn as matching garments, Trump has never been one to stick to convention. And to be fair, the navy and black combo is not entirely unprecedented.
Christian Dior was quoted by Vanity Fair, saying, "Among all colors, navy blue is the only one which can ever compete with black, it has all the same qualities."
But needless to say, Twitter did not approve.
“@ChaseMit @JohnnyMcNulty He probably pooped his first set of pants. They scrambled and found an old pair of Bannon's in the TV room.”— Chase Mitchell (@Chase Mitchell) 1505341381
“@ChaseMit He insisted on dressing himself. This is what happens.”— Chase Mitchell (@Chase Mitchell) 1505341381
Some were reminded of another presidential suit scandal...
“@ChaseMit They gave Obama help for wearing a tan suit. What are we looking at?”— Chase Mitchell (@Chase Mitchell) 1505341381
Perhaps it's his subconscious crying out for help...
“@ChaseMit @jillboard It's Freudian. He's feeling black and blue from the beatings he's taking”— Chase Mitchell (@Chase Mitchell) 1505341381
Pretty much:
“@ChaseMit Yikes!”— Chase Mitchell (@Chase Mitchell) 1505341381
