Ludwig von Hofmann
Ludwig von Hofmann (1861 – 1945) was a German artist who at the peak of his success had an international following. According to the erudite art blog, Feuilleton, there is no concrete proof of Von Hofmann’s sexual orientation, so the viewer must judge that for themselves by simply viewing the art. Thomas Mann was an admirer of his work. In 1898, none other than Rainer Maria Rilke dedicated two of his poems to Ludwig von Hofmann and his art according to the art blog, Great Art, German Art.
