Former thirtysomething regular Ken Olin is set to shoot a comedy pilot, Say Uncle, in which he portrays a gay man who suddenly has to raise two teenagers, Variety reports. Teri Hatcher (Lois & Clark) will play a manipulative co-anchor, with Olin, on a highly rated entertainment newsmagazine. Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter notes that Jim Gaffigan, apparently quite certain that his current series, Welcome to New York, will not be asked back, has signed on to play Ellen DeGeneress former high school friend in her new series, Ellen, Again. The show centers on an urbanite (DeGeneres) who moves back to her small hometown. Cloris Leachman will be playing the part of Ellens mother.
