The Professional Organization of Women in Entertainment Reaching Up has announced that Melissa Etheridge and Showtime president of programming Jerry Offsay will be honored with the Premiere Award on November 3 at a fund-raising gala in Beverly Hills, Calif. Kathy Najimy will present the award to Etheridge for the singer-songwriter's support of human rights issues and the gay community, and Stockard Channing will present the award to Offsay for Showtime's commitment to providing access to quality work that might otherwise go unseen.
