Actor, monologuist, and Advocate columnist Alec Mapa has joined the cast of Connie and Carla, the drag-themed comedy written by and starring Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding). The comedy concerns two female singers from Chicago (Vardalos and Toni Collette) who disguise themselves as drag queens to hide out from the mob. Mapa will play a Los Angeles drag queen who befriends the duo.
