Variety reports that Nathan Lane will play blacklisted screenwriter Dalton Trumbo in a revival of Trumbo, a play based on letters written by the late author. The show's playwright is Christopher Trumbo, Dalton's son, and it will be directed by Peter Askin. Trumbo will open September 4, and Lane will star through September 21, at which point other actors will rotate into the role.
