Sordid Lives producer Sharyn Lane dies at 55
Sharyn Lane, the producer behind out writer-director Del Shores's cult movie Sordid Lives and stage hits Southern Baptist Sissies and The Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife, died Monday in Los Angeles after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Lane won a 2001 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Los Angeles Theatre Production for Sissies, and she was an acclaimed songwriter and music publisher in Nashville. She is survived by two children, a brother, and two nephews as well as her ex-husband, TV producer Ron Leavitt.
