Out film producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan have signed a two-year deal--through their production company Storyline Entertainment--with New Line Cinema, according to Variety. The two producers, who have already started work on an adaptation of the Broadway musical Hairspray, also plan to develop a wide range of feature film ideas, ranging from family comedies to thrillers, under the newly formed agreement. "We feel like we've been dating New Line on Hairspray, and we are ready to get married," Zadan told Variety. "We want to make a very diverse slate of films for them."
