Zadan and Meron
hook up with New Line

Out film producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan have signed a two-year deal--through their production company Storyline Entertainment--with New Line Cinema, according to Variety . The two producers, who have already started work on an adaptation of the Broadway musical Hairspray , also plan to develop a wide range of feature film ideas, ranging from family comedies to thrillers, under the newly formed agreement. "We feel like we've been dating New Line on Hairspray , and we are ready to get married," Zadan told Variety . "We want to make a very diverse slate of films for them."
