Acclaimed lesbian classical guitarist Sharon Isbin has been nominated for a Latin Grammy. Her recording of Rodrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez," Villa-Lobos's "Concerto for Guitar," and Ponce's "Concierto del Sur" with the New York Philharmonic are up for Best Classical Album at the Latin Grammys, which will be presented November 3 in Los Angeles. A Billboard Top 10 classical album, the recording marks the Philharmonic's very first recording with guitar. Isbin will tour the United States in October with the Zurich Chamber Orchestra.
