Canadian teen sells it on eBay for college money.
A Canadian teen who bought a 1950 pickup truck used in Brokeback Mountain at an auction after filming has sold that same truck for $60,000 on eBay, reports the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The truck, driven by Jake Gyllenhaal's Jack Twist character, was sold by Matthew Kennedy, 16, who plans to use the money to pay for college and to buy another similar truck. "I thought I'd hang on to it because I really didn't know very much about the movie," Kennedy said about his purchase of the truck. "I didn't know that it was going to be this big." Shirts worn by Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger in the film garnered more than $100,000 in a charity auction. (The Advocate)
