ABC took a pass on the pilot for Him and Us, a new series about a flamboyantly gay rock star and his entourage. Elton John was the show's executive producer, and the rock star lead (played by Anthony Head of Buffy and Little Britain) was partially based on him. John had even composed the theme song to Him and Us, which would also have starred Kim Cattrall. The series was not announced this week during ABC's upfronts session in New York City, and a spokesman for Elton John confirmed that the show had not been picked up. (The Advocate)
