musician Queen Latifah has signed to play an AIDS activist
in the upcoming HBO movie Life Support, which
focuses on the impact of HIV on African-American
communities, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
The film, written and directed by Nelson George, is based
on the real-life experiences of George's sister and
her family. Shooting begins in June in New York City.
