The New York Post's Page Six column reports that actor Brendan Fraser (Gods and Monsters) has been cast as legendary gay designer Halston in an upcoming biopic. Killer Films will make the movie about the legendary designer, who dressed such icons as Liza Minnelli and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Alec Baldwin had been previously attached to the role, but producers eventually considered him too old to play Halston, who died at 48 of AIDS complications. (The Advocate)
