Fusion: Los Angeles LGBT People of Color Film Festival has announced the three winners of audience awards for the 2006 festival. The festival is a three-day showing of multicultural, gender-inclusive films, music, spoken-word performances, workshops, and panels. Cut Sleeve Boys was named Best Feature by the audience. The film, directed by Ray Yeung, is about an underground drag club in England. Best Narrative Short went to The DL Chronicles, Episode: Robert, directed by Quincy LeNear and Deondray Gossett. The film follows men of color who live a double life, calling themselves gay but practicing otherwise. Best Documentary Short went to I'm Still Here: Becoming Legendary, which focuses on the creative spirit of ball participants in Los Angeles. (The Advocate)
