Robert Schrock's off-Broadway musical Naked Boys Singing! is being adapted for the big screen and will be released by Funny Boy Films.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the full-length feature will include a documentary of behind-the-scenes shooting at Los Angeles's Hayworth Theater. Kirkland Tibbels is the film's producer, and Troy Christian is choreographer and digital video director. Vincent Zamora, an original member of the Los Angeles cast, will be part of the 10-member film cast.

Naked Boys Singing! opened at Los Angeles's Celebration Theater in 1998 and soon after moved to its current home in New York City. The show has toured all over the United States and in over 20 other countries, often sparking controversy for its original songs, including "Perky Little Porn Star" and "I Beat My Meat." The theater show was shut down in Milwaukee in 2005, Atlanta in 2004, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 2003. (The Advocate)
