Everett will lead this year's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras
Parade in Sydney, scheduled to take place March
3, according to the Herald Sun in
Australia. The title Chief of Parade is given to
someone who is a "high-profile member of the gay and
lesbian community to promote the values of Mardi Gras."
Everett has
starred in films such as Shakespeare in Love, My
Best Friend's Wedding, and The Importance
of Being Earnest. He most recently published a
memoir, Red Carpets and Other Banana
