Emily Blunt to
play Queen Victoria

Emily Blunt, who costarred as the senior assistant in The Devil Wears Prada, will star in the historical film The Young Victoria, reports Variety.

Julian Fellowes (Gosford Park) wrote the script, and the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, brought the project to Graham King's Intial Entertainment Group, which is producing with Martin Scorsese.

Jean-Marc Vallee will direct the film, which depicts Queen Victoria's tumultuous early years of rule and her romance with Prince Albert. (The Advocate)
