Former Star
Trek star George Takei will marry his partner of 21
years, Brad Altman, this Sunday in Los Angeles. The ceremony
will be a reunion of sorts, the Associated Press
reports: The best man in Walter Koenig, who played
Chekhov on the show, and the "best lady" is Nichelle
Nichols, who played Uhura. William Shatner was also invited,
the AP reports, but did not respond.
The couple, who
told the AP they have a "tested and stable
relationship," are "ecstatic" at the prospect of being
married. They plan to honeymoon in Argentina and Peru.
