WATCH: Inspiring New Kinky Boots Promo

A new commercial spotlights the empowering message at the heart and sole of Kinky Boots, a musical about "taking a chance, seizing your destiny, and being who you want to be."

Based on the 2005 movie of the same name, the Broadway hit stars Tony-winning out actor Billy Porter as Lola, a drag queen who saves a shoe factory on the verge of bankruptcy.

Written by Harvey Fierstein with songs by Cyndi Lauper, Kinky Boots won a total of six Tonys, including Best Musical, Best Choreography for Jerry Mitchell, and Best Score for Lauper. The show celebrates its one-year anniversary at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in April.
