The charitable gay blogger just wants to be rich, famous, and powerful for the holidays.
Who needs a fruitcake?
Gay blogger Perez Hilton is gifting a festive new video for his charitable holiday song, "My Simple Christmas Wish (Rich, Famous & Powerful)." What did you expect -- world peace?
"It's a song that you may not be familiar with," writes the media mogul in a statement, "but I am pretty sure it will be an instant fave!"
Written by out composer David Friedman, the song was recorded for the 16th edition of Carols for a Cure, an annual compilation featuring the companies of Broadway's current musicals, which exclusively benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
The video was directed and produced by out Broadway performer Andrew Keenan-Bolger.
Hilton, ne Mario Lavandeira, earned a drama degree from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and made his off-Broadway debut in 2012 in NEWSical the Musical. The single dad, who relocated from Los Angeles to New York City last summer, has also expressed his wish to perform in a Broadway show.
