Two people are recovering from stabbing wounds and two others are in custody after a violent altercation at Fort Lauderdale Pride this weekend.

The stabbing occurred near the main stage during a beach event on Sunday evening, reports the Sun-Sentinel.

One of the victims is reported to have serious injuries and the other suffered superficial wounds -- both are expected to survive, according to the Miami Herald.

Police have not confirmed a motive for the attack, but believe it may have involved a dispute at the party.

"We believe this was an isolated incident which began as an altercation between two parties," Casey Liening, a spokeswoman for Fort Lauderdale police, told the Herald.
