In a panel at the Cannes Film Festival, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler said his favorite part of his movie is when the women believe their king is gone, adding that he'd happily make a spin-off about the women of Wakanda. Coogler also said he admires Roxane Gay's "World of Wakanda" series. Coogler worked with female cinematographers on all three of his films.
