Oldham appointed coordinator of AIDS policy for New York City

New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg has appointed Frank Oldham Jr. as citywide coordinator of AIDS policy, The New York Blade reports. Oldham, an HIV-positive African-American man, previously served as head of Horizons Community Services in Chicago and as managing director at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. He also has worked as an assistant commissioner on HIV/AIDS at Chicago's Department of Public Health and as director of a Washington, D.C., AIDS service organization.
