Sean Hayes to star in Zadan and Meron's latest big-screen project
Emmy winner Sean Hayes has signed to star in the feature film Simon Says for Revolution Studios, sources confirm. The comedy is being produced by out Storyline Entertainment heads Craig Zadan and Neil Meron along with Mosaic Media Group's Eric Gold, who manages Hayes. Based on a pitch by writers Jeremy Miller and Dan Cohn from an original concept by Gold, Simon Says will see Hayes star as Simon Christopher, winner of a prestigious National Teacher of the Year award. There isn't a child he can't tame until he is hired to home-school the difficult children of a Manhattan media mogul, who is later placed under house arrest. Sources said the project is on the fast track with the hope of shooting during Hayes's spring hiatus from series duties on NBC's Will & Grace. The deal reteams Hayes with Zadan and Meron, the duo who executive-produced CBS's Martin and Lewis. Zadan and Meron also executive-produced Miramax Films' Chicago, which won a Best Picture Oscar.
