Latino Commission on AIDS launches online store to raise AIDS funds
The Latino Commission on AIDS this week launched an Internet-based holiday store called "Compra Contra el SIDA," which sells designer fashions and accessories, the proceeds of which will benefit the commission. Among the designers participating in the fund-raiser are Zazii, Renee Patrice, Lara Kazan, Yumi Chen, Celina Guity, and others. Greeting cards, T-shirts, and holiday ornaments also are available. Links also are placed on the Internet store to each of the designers' Web sites where additional items are offered for sale, a portion of the proceeds of which will be donated to the AIDS commission. The online store will remain up on the Internet through January 6. For more information or to purchase items for sale, go online to www.latinoaids.org and click on the link for "Compra Contral el SIDA."
