D.C. Fights Back, a newly formed organization aimed at fighting the spread of HIV in the District of Columbia, will hold an open discussion with mayoral candidate Michael Brown on May 3. The event will focus on Brown's commitment to fighting HIV in the district, which has the highest HIV prevalence rate of any U.S. city. About one of every 20 D.C. residents is believed to be HIV-positive, a rate 10 times higher than the national average. Brown is scheduled to present opening remarks and then take questions from the audience. The discussion will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on May 3 at Greater D.C. Cares, 1725 I St. NW, Suite 200.
