A play penned by gay writer and director Alan Ball--his first in more than 12 years--will be part of the New York Theatre Workshop 2006-2007 season. Ball, best known for writing the Oscar-winning American Beauty and creating the HBO series Six Feet Under, tackles the story of two young Los Angeles men, one a Middle Eastern immigrant, in his new play, All That I Will Ever Be. The drama will premiere at the downtown Manhattan playhouse in January 2007. (The Advocate)
