Gay journalist Christopher Nutter will be promoting his new memoir, The Way Out, with a book signing at Atlanta's Outwrite Bookstore and Coffeehouse. Nutter's touching novel details his journey out the closet and into the gay party scene. Dissatisfied with the lifestyle he found in clubs, Nutter writes of the despair and, ultimately, enlightenment that comes on the path toward self-affirmation in the LGBT community.

The event will start at 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, at Outwrite, 991 Piedmont Ave., Atlanta. Admission is free. For more information about the event call Outwrite at (404) 607-0082 or visit its Web site. For more information about the author visit Christopher Nutter online.
