The GLAAD Media Award-winning "gay rap opera" BASH'd is set to premiere at the Zipper Factory Theater in New York on June 12 for an open-ended run.

The show, which has received multiple theater awards and rave reviews from Variety and Backstage, merges the often-homophobic genre of rap music with a plot about a gay couple, Jack and Dillon. The two men play star-crossed lovers, hurt both emotionally and physically by homophobia.

Performances will begin June 12, with the official opening night the following weekend on June 23. The show will run Mondays at 8 p.m., Thursdays at 8 p.m., Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., and Saturdays at 8 p.m. For tickets and information visit www.thezipperfactory.com. (The Advocate)
