A plaintiff couple in the fight for marriage equality in Massachusetts has filed for divorce, according to the Associated Press. Julie and Hillary Goodridge were one of seven couples who filed the lawsuit that led to a court ruling making Massachusetts the first state to legalize same-sex marriage in 2004. Though the divorce case was filed just last week in Suffolk probate and family court, the couple had announced they were separating in 2006. (Advocate.com)
