LGBTQ+ celebs and allies joined thousands of demonstrators this week to protest against white supremacy and police brutality.
Tens of thousands of demonstrators have taken to the streets across the world protesting against racism and police brutality following the death of George Floyd.
In nine days of national protests, nearly 62,000 National Guard soldiers and airmen were deployed in 24 states, according to Newsweek. Furthermore, at least 4,400 people have been arrested for alleged offenses ranging from stealing to breaking curfew.
One man in Louisville died in a police confrontation, prompting the city to fire its police chief, Steve Conrad, according to CNN.
Meanwhile, a roster of LGBTQ+ celebs and allies joined protesters across the nation in their shared righteous anger at systemic racism and white supremacy. Here are some below:
