Fans of the popular musical comedy Glee can break into song now that Fox has officially picked up the television series for a full season.

The move makes Glee the first new show of 2009 to get the nod for a full season. According to Michael Ausiello at Entertainment Weekly, Fox added an additional nine episodes to its initial 13-episode order, bringing the total number of first-season episodes to 22. 

Glee focuses on a fictional high school glee club in Lima, Ohio. Its creators include Ryan Murphy of Nip/Tuck acclaim.
