After four and a half years mocking pop music and religion, the off-Broadway musical Altar Boyz is going dark January 10.
Altar Boyz, about a Christian boy band with a gay member, opened in New York City in March 2005. It took almost three years for the show to make back its initial $1 million investment, and it has been running on a bare-bones budget ever since, reports Variety.
