A Florida man found covered in blood in his car by police told officers not to worry about him and that nothing had happened: "This is the way gay couples fight," he said.
A Fort Walton Beach police officer says he saw a couple fighting in a parked car January 1. He says he saw one man "wildly punching" in the area of the driver's seat and then quickly move to the passenger's seat.
The victim was "adamant that being hit was an acceptable behavior," according to the suspect's arrest report. According to the report, the blood came from an open wound on the suspect's hand.
The 22-year-old suspect was charged with domestic battery. The two men are domestic partners and live together.
