Sex and the City 2 star Cynthia Nixon "was horrified" by the now-notorious homophobic Newsweek article, she says in an interview on CBS's The Early Show. "There have been gay actors playing straight characters as long as there's been a Hollywood," she tells anchor Harry Smith. "I mean, like it's not such a stretch," she continues. "And I feel like at a time when people are feeling more and more secure about coming out, this kind of thing just sends people running back in the closet. It's just so harmful."
