Cher, who spent a good chunk of the '90s hocking her own line of Gothic-inspired furniture and architectural salvage, appears on the cover of this month's issue of Architectural Digest.

The singer-actress talks about designing her new Hollywood home and her passion for architecture, which she connects to her becoming a Buddhist.

"My houses," like Buddhism, she says, "are passions."

Cher just wrapped production on her new film with Christina Aguilera, Burlesque. She is gearing up for another world tour in 2011.

She's also been in the headlines in recent months with her vocal support of son Chaz, who announced last year he would be transitioning from female to male. "The one thing that will never change is my abiding love for my child," Cher said.
