Congress's three openly gay representatives, Barney Frank, Tammy Baldwin, and Jared Polis were joined by 66 colleagues in sending a letter Thursday to President Barack Obama urging him to ensure the law that bars gays and lesbians from openly serving in the military is repealed.
"To stay above the rest, to remain the most formidable military force in the world, we must innovate, change and grow," they wrote. "As we update our weaponry and strategy, so too must we open our policy encourage as much cohesiveness and camaraderie as possible. The letter is available here.
