Secret Gay Lover Found Lottery Winner Who Hanged Himself
Richard Lang, a British lottery winner who hanged himself in May, was found by a gay lover he had never introduced to his family, a court was told Wednesday.
According to the Daily Mail, a coroner told the court that Lang, who worked as a British Waterways engineer despite winning more than $1 million in 2005, was found by his partner Joshua Jones, in Broughton Astley, Leicestershire on May 17.
In lengthy detail, the coroner explained how Lang left no indications of unhappiness to his family, although he would often tell Jones, whom he met on a website, that sex and everything else in life was "pointless."
"The court heard no suicide note was found from Mr Lang, and no clues to suggest why he did what he did," reported the Mail. "He had not indicated to his family that he had any worries or suicidal thoughts."
