Protesters targeted reggae artist Capleton, whose lyrics call for violence against the LGBT community, at his concert Sunday night in Sacramento, Calif.
According to KCRA, dozens of people gathered outside the venue Harlow's for two hours to shout, "Stop hate speech" and "Hate speech kills."
Protesters cited lyrics from Capleton such as "bun out ah chi chi," which translates to "burn out the gay man."
While some California venues have canceled shows this year because of similar complaints, Harlow's did not comply with protesters' demands. The manager of the venue refused to speak with KCRA, the station reported.
