Mike Verdugo, the Florida police officer who was fired for failure to disclose his background in gay porn, lost his appeal in a Broward circuit court to regain his old job.

Steve Rothaus reports on the loss at The Miami Herald:

"'The courts did not rule in my favor today, but after 2 1/2 years of fighting I am not giving up,' Verdugo posted Tuesday night on his Facebook page. 'Good thing is that back in August I won the case against the State (FDLE) and I am still a certified Police Officer. Now I just have to find a Police Dept that cares about my job performance and not my sexual orientation.'"

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement ruled in August that Verdugo could keep his police certification. He was fired from the Hollywood, Fla., police department when officials caught learned about his appearance in the 1996 bondage film Rope Rituals.
