Condo Owner’s Leather Sex Dilemma

A new condo owner in the Glen Park neighborhood of San Francisco is in a bind -- he sunk all of his money into a place for himself and his 10-year-old son. But when he went to remove the carpeting, his downstairs neighbor informed him that he enjoys "leather sex" and that it would be audible in the upstairs bedrooms without an effective sound barrier.

"He's entitled to his life," Jack Hagerty told the San Francisco Chronicle. "I just wish he'd told me sooner."

Hagerty says he had to remove the carpeting to ease his allergies. When he told the downstairs neighbor he'd be doing this, he received the following e-mail in response.

"I am a sexual enthusiast and enjoy leather sex. At times, it is possible and even likely that the sounds of leather sex will be coming from my bedrooms to your bedrooms without an effective sound barrier. While it is not my issue, you may find you need to explain things to your son as it could be confusing to him since it frequently doesn't sound as pleasurable as it is."

Hagerty says he doesn't feel comfortable moving his son in, but he doesn't have enough money to move again. The neighbor argues that all Hagerty had to do was leave the carpet and pad in place.
