Gay Mormon Comes Out on The Voice

Twenty-year-old Tyler Robinson got judge Blake Shelton to turn his chair around with his soulful rendition of Train's "Hey, Soul Sister" on NBC's The Voice. But it was what he did before singing that really wowed viewers.

Robinson, a proud gay Mormon, came out to his dad on national television. He attended the auditions with his mom, a strong supporter.

Robinson is one of four openly gay contestants competing on The Voice. He will be working with Shelton, while the other contestants will be working with Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo.
