Pioneering rapper DMC of Run-DMC is breaking new ground again, challenging his hip-hop brethren to stand up against homophobia.
DMC, whose full name is Darryl McDaniels, has posed for the No H8 campaign and filmed a video in which he performs a rap about fighting the "homophobia that is plaguing our culture."
"I'm putting out a call to action to all my fellow hip-hoppers to join me in supporting equal rights," he says.
