A person found stabbed to death in East Harlem may have been the victim of foul play, police say.
According to the New York City Police Department, officers were called to an apartment Monday afternoon, where they found a person in their 40s with stab wounds in the neck and back.
It has also been reported that the individual, who might be transgender, had a sheet around the neck.
While no arrests have been made, police are investigating the possibility that the homicide may be somehow linked to prostitution, as neighbors said visitors were in and out of the apartment on a regular basis.
