Zachary Quinto: I'm Grateful for Unanimous Support

Zachary Quinto says he's grateful for the support he's received since he came out publicly as a gay man last weekend.

"It's been enormously supportive -- universally, unanimously supportive," the actor says during an interview to promote his latest film Margin Call. "I'm really grateful for that."

He continues, saying, "I feel I made that declaration so that I can be a part of the conversation moving forward. I did it in my own time and on my own terms and in my own words and that's exactly the way I wanted to do it and I'm really proud of that. When the time is right to continue the conversation forward I will do that. That's why I took those steps in the first place."

Quinto stars in the new drama about the financial crisis alongside Kevin Spacey. Among the memorable responses to Quinto has been ABC news anchor Dan Kloeffler, who was so inspired that during his broadcast he nonchalantly revealed he's also gay.
