Actor James Wolk has been cast as the former and future boyfriend of Max, the standout gay character played by Adam Pally on the sitcom Happy Endings.
Producers of the buzzed-about ABC series tweeted the casting news, saying there are more "casting bombs (c-bombs)" on the way. Wolk, who previously starred in the short-lived series Lone Star, will appear in multiple episodes of the series, but no date has been announced for his debut.
Earlier this month, Happy Endings was picked up by ABC for 22 episodes after garnering its highest ratings ever with its Halloween episode. The cleverly written series airs Wednesday nights following Modern Family.
