GLAAD Announces Nominees for Annual Media Awards

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation announced the nominees for its 23rd annual media awards this morning. Check out the complete list here.

Movie nominees include Weekend and Beginners, both of which have already landed some major awards, including Christopher Plummer's Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor. Albert Nobbs and J. Edgar are also up for the wide release Outstanding Film award.

Some new contenders on this year's list include OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, nominated in the Outstanding Documentary category for Becoming Chaz, and Anderson Cooper's new talk show, Anderson, for Outstanding Talk Show Episode.

The Advocate and Out are nominated together for Outstanding Magazine Overall Coverage.
