✝️ Students at the Baptist-affiliated Baylor University organized a talk this week featuring several LGBTQ+ advocates, as counterprogramming to a right-wing Turning Point USA event. Now, the Baptist General Convention of Texas will launch a formal review of its 140-year relationship with the university. Here's the latest reporting from our sister publication, Them.
The U.S. Supreme Court has taken up one case and declined another related to LGBTQ+ rights. The court will consider a Colorado case involving whether taxpayer-funded preschools affiliated with churches can refuse to admit children of LGBTQ+ couples. But the court declined to take up a case out of Massachusetts about whether schools should be required to out trans kids to their parents, leaving a lower court's ruling in place.
