➡️ Civil rights pioneer Rev. Jesse Jackson has passed away at age 84. Jackson rose from being an aide to Martin Luther King Jr. to being one of the most celebrated civil rights leaders in the U.S., including strong support for marriage equality. “Marriage is based on love and commitment – not on sexual orientation,” he once said. “I support the right for any person to marry the person of their choosing.”

Meanwhile, Anderson Cooper is the latest media figure to leave CBS News under the leadership of Bari Weiss, and a Democratic candidate in Southern California is facing backlash after implying LGBTQ+ candidates are unelectable.

In Kansas, Gov. Laura Kelly has vetoed an anti-trans bathroom bill; and in Washington D.C., more than 50 activists protested over proposed federal rules against gender-affirming care for trans minors.
